For those of you who have used Diltiazem, is it okay to massage multiple doses of Diltiazem during day? I do it morning and night but have been given no formal instruction. I think I could go for a top-up midday.

Also, does anyone find the tight-arse effect slightly inhibiting to the stool passing process? Does anyone use GTN or diltiazem to allow the easier passage of a stool.

My stools need a wee bit of encouragement, but when they pass the point of no return there is no problem. ...

I discovered a new issue that I'm having...I use unscented (seems more like lightly scented, but that's just my opinion) wipes to clean after a bm. I've been using these for months with no problems. It seems that lately, though, I've been having issues with the cleaning process. It seems to get irritated before I'm completely clean. It feels itchy, but as I keep dabbing, I seriously irritate the area. Then it stings, and I'll occasionally see pinkish spots on the wipes. Can't figure out ...

What should I do??

I am scheduled to have LIS in September. I have now suffered from AFs one year and 7 months. However my butt has become better all the time. I still have spasms and occasionally pain but the pain is not bad. I mean I can manage with it almost all the time and most of the time I do not have pain at all. Very seldom I have had horrible pain but it is over a month ago when it happened last time.

As you know I have dreamed to get pregnant soon. What should I do now? Go through LIS to make sure ...

Guys and gals,

I think there was a thread previously about what a sphincter spasm feels like. But I am wondering if a person feels a spasm, does that mean that the fissure is not healed? I think I had one this morning while getting stressed during a visit with my son. I laid down and did deep breathing and it stopped. I don't know if spasms contribute to causing fissures, or do spasms occur after one has a fissure. I believe my fissure is healing (knock wood), but possibly not yet completely ...

Hi Guys,

Well I am getting back on track and have been eating and drinking well for the past two days. I plan on continuing.
I have a BIG question about food. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on particular foods that I should be avoiding or eating more of with a fissure? I know it's completely different for everyone and different things will work on different people, but any general tips would be so much appreciated.

I've had a fissure since about March. I got it during a bad bout of constipation during which I was an idiot and didn't take the proper stool softeners. I thought the fissure was a hemorrhoid at first, but when a doctor did an exam with an anoscope (which hurt like hell), she told me it was a fissure. I didn't know anything about fissures, and I walked out of her office thinking it would heal in a week or so, especially since she didn't prescribe or recommend anything. However, the fissure just ...

Okay-this kid is whack! It is a teenager who is quite prolific on Youtube for throwing down rhymes in his bedroom in hardcore Massachusetts. You have to wonder what his parents think. From his website: Ever since his first temper tantrum, Bo knew he wanted to perform. After an awkward “athletic” phase, he started dedicating his time to school theatre. He continued to nurture his love for performance, receiving rave reviews from countless relatives. Bo chose to attend an all-boys catholic high ...
