Diltiazem 2% frequency

For those of you who have used Diltiazem, is it okay to massage multiple doses of Diltiazem during day? I do it morning and night but have been given no formal instruction. I think I could go for a top-up midday.

Also, does anyone find the tight-arse effect slightly inhibiting to the stool passing process? Does anyone use GTN or diltiazem to allow the easier passage of a stool.

My stools need a wee bit of encouragement, but when they pass the point of no return there is no problem. ...

There ought to be a law....

I discovered a new issue that I'm having...I use unscented (seems more like lightly scented, but that's just my opinion) wipes to clean after a bm. I've been using these for months with no problems. It seems that lately, though, I've been having issues with the cleaning process. It seems to get irritated before I'm completely clean. It feels itchy, but as I keep dabbing, I seriously irritate the area. Then it stings, and I'll occasionally see pinkish spots on the wipes. Can't figure out ...

Well, after enduring months and mnonths of pain from surgeries thinking it would solve the problem I now how another thrombosed hemorrohid or infection at the incision site. I can't tell. It looks like a white, silver and blue but it a hard nodule. I thought having the hemorrhoidectomry was supposed to keep that from happening again. Hello all. I guess I'm not so new to the board anymore so I thought I would start this new thread to reflect where I am at. In 38 hours I am having LIS, fissurectomy and hemmiectomy done by my CRS. I hope that someday this thread will be a success story that others can read and find hope and confidence that they to can over come this hellish affliction.

The decision to have surgery was difficult and frought with so many emotions. I only wish I could skip ahead and write a happy ending ...

the instructions with the nitro says it has to be applied internally. Is this imperative or can it be just rubbed on like the diltiazem? I found when I just rubbed it on I got a crashing headache- is that why?

I am scheduled to have LIS in September. I have now suffered from AFs one year and 7 months. However my butt has become better all the time. I still have spasms and occasionally pain but the pain is not bad. I mean I can manage with it almost all the time and most of the time I do not have pain at all. Very seldom I have had horrible pain but it is over a month ago when it happened last time.

As you know I have dreamed to get pregnant soon. What should I do now? Go through LIS to make sure ...

I think there was a thread previously about what a sphincter spasm feels like. But I am wondering if a person feels a spasm, does that mean that the fissure is not healed? I think I had one this morning while getting stressed during a visit with my son. I laid down and did deep breathing and it stopped. I don't know if spasms contribute to causing fissures, or do spasms occur after one has a fissure. I believe my fissure is healing (knock wood), but possibly not yet completely ...

i was just thinking this today as i had my bm this morning and for the first time in a long time and of course after getting back into the groove of macrobiotics, i had a very nice bulky, thick, but fluffy floaty poop in the toilet.

After a few weeks of believing this thing might actually be on the mend, this morning its come back again with a vengeance!!

I cant sit down, its throbbing and sore and feels exactly the way it did when I had the fistula, plus although I've had a cold, I keep going hot and cold and shivery, which I know isn't a good sign!

I want to try this to add slight (not a lot) bulk to my BMS !

I experimented again last week with I teaspoon daily of Psyllium and while things were OK, I got such a fright one morning when I had overslept and when it came to the DO !

I had a feeling of constipation which made me panic sweat so came right of Psyllium, I didn�t like this feeling !

I had LIS surgery on May 23 after a year and half of terrible rectal spasms caused by my fissure. I researched the surgery throughly and I was impressed with the overall percentage of complete healing and the healing rate. My surgery was 3 and half weeks ago and I am experiencing bleeding (not much but still blood) after I have a BM and pain after my BM for at least an hour... I am losing hope... Some of you may have read the post I made in the General Anal Fissure Discussion. The surgeon I saw today (not a Colorectal surgeon, just a general one) gave me ditiazem to use 3 times a day. Thank God - a cream that may help HEAL my problem, not just make me numb and cover up the pain!

I'm just a bit iffy on how exactly to use the cream. I know it can be used both internally and externally, and you're only supposed to use a small amount (pea-sized?), correct? But how exactly do I know ...

I just wonder what others experience is with the sphincter spasm?

What does it feels like for you?

I think mine feels like a dump pain(clenching of the anus in a way). Sometimes it is painless(but very uncomfortable). I am having this 24/7.

Sometimes when I am having a BM it feels like a monster is coming out but when I look at it the poo it is normal and sometimes very small.

Is this normal? The very high dose of botox should have taken care of this but the relief only ...

It is a beautifully sunny day in the Midwest and I am still on cloud nine after one of my docs called me yesterday in response to a letter I wrote to him. I may be returning to Mayos and have an anorectal manometry test. This tests would require the insertion of a balloow which is inflated. Evidently, the test is not all that uncomfortable. There is a possiblity I may be able to get off of Miralax if we can identify what my type of constipation is.

Well it has been a long time since I last wrote. My husbands progress has been improving fairly well. He increased his fiber, lots of water and started to take a tablespoon of MOM each night before he went to bed. A tablespoon turned out to be too much so he then used a teaspoon and has weaned himself down to a half a teaspoon each night.
