Just got back from the CRS, a follow up from my LIS surgery almost a year ago. My fissure healed but I was still having pain and spasms sometimes. Turns out it's what the CRS called a mild stenosis from an old surgery and when I have a bm the area doesn't stretch much at all so I still get mini tears on occassion and they cause pain until they heal. But my situation at the moment is...... mini-spasms sometimes, retears every 3 or 4 weeks, sometimes for 3 weeks at a time, but the last time only about a week, bad pain all day when it does retear, but mostly tolerable, fairly ok most of the time, although odd swollen feeling there a lot. I've been on diltiazem cream as well as nitro cream (I'm still using the latter, actually), but I'm still experiencing discomfort. I used to have pain constantly, but the nitro has helped to the point where I generally only have pain during/after a BM, or after I'm sitting for long periods. Of course, there are always exceptions. Lately, though, even the BM pain hasn't been horrible, which is nice! However, I still get painless muscle spasms/twitches, ... Has anyone else experienced the same? It's not that I have to see the scar, but I think is really strange that I cannot. It is supposed to heal from the inside out and one should think that it should think that it would be visible..

Like many AF sufferers I had good, bad and very very bad times. I did everything right to try to heal it, high fiber diet, drinking a lot of water, no caffeine, no alcohol, but little things like working out would set me back in AF hell. I went to see a GI and he confirmed that it was an AF and gave me nitro to try to heal it. It was almost next to impossible to find a pharmacy that would fill it. One place even demanded ...
