It has this plastic liner you heat in the microwave and then insert it back in the cushion. It's nice and warm and I use it to help relax the butt muscles. It's great. You can take it anywhere with you and it doesn't cost much. The cushion is called LAVA BUNS, I know it sounds silly but it's better than a heating pad and you don't have to worry about burning yourself.
