Generic Miralax
Hey everyone..just thought I'd mention that CVS now carries a generic version of Miralax, called Purelax, I believe, and it's 50% less expensive. I'm gonna give it a go.
Just thought some of you might want to know,

Re: Generic Miralax
Nice, thanks for the heads up! Gonna have to see if my local store carries it, out here all of our Long's Drugs stores just became CVS Pharmacy. For some reason it doesn't show up as in stock at any of my local stores but for 50% off I'll have to take a peek in person! Always seemed weird to me that there wasn't a generic version of MiraLAX like there is for everything else.

Re: Generic Miralax
Well, I saw it in Sunday's ad circular - I believe it was the big, 30 dose bottle for $9.99. That's about 50% difference, if you can't get the Miralax on sale - which in general I have, but the absolute lowest I paid was $14.99 with the Walgreens Register Rewards (rebate).
If good, this will save me/us $120 per year!
Damn, I'm up early......got to go in early today : (

Re: Generic Miralax
lol I'd consider myself up early today and it's just 8:30 AM
Yeah $9.99 is a good price, lowest I've paid is the Costco 2-pack, the big bottle runs about $23 on average individually at the local drug stores.

Re: Generic Miralax
Had to up at 5:15, and to morrow up at 4 AM as we are leaving for San Antonio and our flight is at 5:50 AM..YIKES!
I may not be on here much for the next 6 days due to the trip, but I may (depending on the wireless at the hotel). I seem to have the tiniest touch of a stomach bug and feel a tad feverish, but it still doesn't compare to the last trip I took in July with the fissure in full force..at least a few pills and a whiskey with lemon will quell my aches and pains. LOL..AND I know it's simply a matter of time till I feel better.
NG, I'll make sure to have a cocktail for you on The Riverwalk tomorrow night.

Nice, have fun in San Antonio! And yeah, make it a coke and rum please
Once I'm off the Valium I think I'm going to have a beer or two, fissure be damned! It's been about 11 months since I last had any alcohol whatsoever, far too long...

Haha tequila was a favorite of mine until a trip to Puerto Vallarta when ummmm "too overly copious" quantities of it was consumed -- now I shiver on sight of it! Well you're off to San Antonio and tequila, I'm off to the colorectal doc and Valium withdrawal... Whoever said life was fair

Have a good trip, Sidra. BTW I like the pic you posted!
Don't know if I will be drinking alcohol very much on our upcoming cruise this week or not!

Re: Generic Miralax
NG, it used to be my favorite also..just as I hit 40 it started hurting a lot, so now I can only handle a quick high end shot and resume with other, less dangerous drinks..and I have to do it early so I can burn it off or whatever.
Cheryl, thanks..I will change pics soon..I'll try to put some of my Egypt ones up.
Have a blast on the cruise..where are you headed?

Awesome pic! Egypt (and also Dubai) was on my list of next 5 places I want to visit. I still drink tequila once in a blue moon, but yeah only the expensive stuff (yes I'm a princess like that) for me these days. No more plastic bottle stuff or mezcal, that's for sure

Re: Generic Miralax
Thanks NG..I'll try to change it often to show more of the trip.
Off to run a few last minute errands and turn in my NFL picks (local pool)..I'm doing terrible this year, the worst I've ever done in 10 years! The parity in football these days sure makes for great games usually, but man, it is harder to pick the winners week in and week out!
And, oh, yeah, definitely no plastic bottle tequila or mezcal here either..I almost can't believe all that stuff didn't use to bother me at all!

Re: Generic Miralax
Wow, what a cool pic, Sidra.
My friend, her sister, and I are headed to Cozumel, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands via Fort Lauderdale. Our fourth cruiser dropped off because her husband was diagnosed with lung cancer after we booked our cruise. The husband is also the brother of my friend and her sis, so I have been trying hard to not get excited in case we have to cancel. Is your fissure OK (for traveling)?

Re: Generic Miralax
Yeah, my fissure is fine, basically..just a little irritation at the incision site if I have a lot of bm's and just itching really.
I LOVE Cozumel..and the Cayman's..are you going to swim with/feed the Manta rays?
Hope your friend still goes..
