Has my fissure turned chronic?

Post by remo on October 14th 2009, 9:06 am

Hi everybody,
I have been suffering from this fissure for nearly six months. I have tried proctosedyl ointment, taken lots of fluid, high fibre diet etc etc.. So i think i have done everything to keep my stools soft. Now my problem is though my stools are soft and i no longer see any blood(for nearly a month) i still feel a dull aching pain in the inner walls of the anus. The pain is not just in the rectum where we usually have a tear, its just internal as though the skin inside in scarred(but not a stinking pain though). i just have this pain for some hours and then it passes away. HAs my fissure turned chronic? Does anybody have the same experience? will this pain ever go off me? Pls help!!!!!

It could be the muscles, and not the tissues that are causing your pain. I would suggest the analrectal manometry test.
