slight blood streaks

Post by derryboy on November 6th 2009, 10:07 am

slight blood streaks on the loo paper 10 minutes ago, first time theres been blood in a good while.

dont know if its from the scar from the op, or from my back passage,

feeling a slight sting in the area of the scar, but nothing to bad(well at the moment)

no itching etc from anus,

B.M were not hard just the same as they are everyday formed and soft, toothpaste style,

not eaten anything different,

Havent been straining while having BM

movicol takes the straining out of that.

not moved, or done anythng,

have went by the gp and speciaist orders

as you all know i dont want to go back to what i was

can this be normal, or am i looking more trouble ahead

Hey Dazzy, I'm not familiar with your history, but could it maybe be piles flaring up?

the spots of blood on the loo roll, is coming from where the crs cut me open, this has healed, but the skin tissue is very thinn/soft, he said when the fistula was laid open in june things would be healed etc between 4-6 weeks. this is now 4 month,

the blood it not coming from my anus, but the op scar this is for sure.

does this sound normal??

thanks for the quick replies cheryl and N.G

I am not familiar with the procedure(s) you have had Derry, but I would say that it is "normal" that we may experience blood in that department every now and then. It freaks me out when it happens, but I guess things will "always" be fragile down south for us fissurepeople.

Are you more OK now? Less pain? I hope so for your sake, you have been through so much Smile

I am sure you just got a wee nick by a stool on it's way out, Darren. A smear of blood on the TP is still going to happen from time to time especially if you were prone to bleeding at your worst stage.

Relax and let PAIN be your guide.... not a little blood...

Re: slight blood streaks

Post by derryboy on November 9th 2009, 7:34 am

well went to my gp today as i was a little stinging down south last night,

he checked me over and said the scar the abcess wound had left was slighly split open,

at this point he cant say for sure if its just the soft tissue and maybe the way ive move has caused this, or a begin of another abcess and as the scar tissue is so thin the starting of another abcess has caused the split.

so for now antiseptic cream, and salt baths, which my crs said not to have but hey, i told him, but he just said do it.

so got another appt to see him next monday so he can recheck, if its another abcess its back to the hospital to get it lanced and drained, which means ..... more packing days ahead . fingers cross, i just can do that again, i know i cant.i cant deal with the bedridden, pain etc etc that goes with it all, and all cuz of a bloody fissure
