scar tissue

May 19th 2013, 7:58 am by saintkilledher

my doctor told me that scar tissue narrows the rectum and can stop the fissure from healing so they would need to scrape the old scar tissue out then see if it heals...makes sense scaring would tighten the rectum so everytime you have a bm the narrowed rectum would tear.

How long can I use Nitro Ointment for?

May 15th 2013, 6:47 pm by buttquestion

I am on my 10th week I think. So far, I feel Nitro Ointment has helped a lot and it seems to help even more now than the first two weeks.

I only use it once a day and it's only 0.2% Nitro.

I don't really feel any change in my body except for some heartburn (which I think is caused by me drinking too much orange fiber drinks!) and bad sleeps. I woke up too much in the middle of the night. …

100% Healed Naturally - Here's my story.

May 10th 2013, 6:06 pm by Ever the Optimist

Hello everyone,

Today my chronic fissure was confirmed 100% healed. Here's my story......

I'd been dealing with my chronic fissure for 1 year and 5 months to be precise.

It started at the beginning of December 2011, I was in sheer knife-stabbing agony with it until the end of January 2012, when I was admitted for an emergency appointment. Following an immediately scheduled Examination Under …

Do you let your fissure take over your life?

May 16th 2013, 7:30 pm by Kreaybutt

I'd like to see how it effects others...
When my af first appeared 5 months ago I was so depressed. I wouldn't eat, I wouldn't leave the house, I would take Vicodin and sleep when I could (I had a one month old and the only thing that could make me feel ok was holding and nursing her.) It finally healed and I saw life in a whole new way, much more grateful for the small things. BUT one thing I …

I'm an exclusively breast feeding mom..

May 13th 2013, 12:37 pm by Kreaybutt

How much water should I be drinking a day if I'm exclusively breast feeding? I feel like I drink a ton but it might not be enough.. I'm suffering from two AF's and just started taking a full dose of Miralax a day for two days but stool don't seem "that" soft yet. Does it take a while to start working? Should I take Metamucil with it to keep stools formed? I'm so lost on what to do to heal these …

Skin tag, white bumps

May 18th 2013, 3:34 pm by Chicago19840000

Hello. Had on and off bleeding with bms over the last 6 months. I took a look and it seemed to be a hemorrhoid so I ignored it. I looked again and there is this skin tag that seems to be protruding from the anus as well as discrete white bumps, probably 5 surrounding the anus.

What should I do with this? Does this sound like an anal fissure to you guys that has progressed to a skin tag? With …

Is it straining or not?

May 17th 2013, 1:39 am by howtobepositive

Hi guys,

This one is a stupid question but I was wondering that although I dont really suffer form constipation - well on most days I do feel the pressure to go. But on some of the days even when I have the pressure to go, I feel like I have to push - Im refraining from using the word straining - because its not constipation, the stool is there, it just needs to be pushed once in a while.

Is it …

Doesn't soaking your bum so much make skin more raw?

May 14th 2013, 6:12 pm by Kreaybutt

My mom is telling me I soak my butt too much and keeping the fissure wet all the time won't let it heal. Any truth to this? I mean you are suppose to let cuts dry and heal but I don't know about the skin down there. Thanks!

Anal Fissures & Pregnancy

April 19th 2013, 8:28 pm by Jerseygirl810

Hey guys,

First of all I'd like to say GOD BLESS whoever made this group. Seriously. I thought I was the only person on the planet with an anal fissure and this embarrassing terrible pain until I found this forum!

Anyway, I'm 25 and my husband I are talking about starting a family maybe in the next year or so (God willing). Well I've had this anal fissure for about 4 months now, and like most …
